About Me - Angela Taylor
When I left university, I started working at a children’s home for children with special needs. A friend introduced me to teaching after working at the children’s home for 5 years. I fell in love with teaching straight away and continued on my educational path and became a qualified teacher.
My greatest passions in life are teaching social sciences and travelling. I have seen many students leave 6th form and go on to continue their education or break through into the working world.
I have also been able to explore my passion for traveling during the school holidays, and it has allowed me to view the world and immerse myself in different cultures.
Tutoring Experience
I have been teaching for over 19 years, teaching GCSE and A Level Psychology and Sociology in a number of specifications such as International Baccalaureate, AQA, OCR and EDEXCEL. I am also an experienced and current examiner of International Baccalaureate and AQA.
As well as holding many senior roles such as Head of Department, Deputy Head Teacher and Head of Sixth Form, I have also taught internationally in Abu Dhabi, and I have more recently taught in a university on several degree courses.
I have been tutoring students for many years now, both offline and online. I love teaching! It’s my greatest passion in life and I can’t imagine being anything else but a teacher. I love to see students become as passionate as I am about my subjects. And I especially love the light bulb moments.
Topic Expertise
I’m particularly skilled at preparing students for exams and tackling exam questions. I can help students break down the questions and really get to the bottom of what the question is asking.
I can also help students organise their thoughts and notes. This is key to students’ success in their studies.
